Off the Market is a student group at the University of Oklahoma committed to raising on-campus awareness about the issue of human trafficking. Each year, Off the Market hosts an event to educate OU faculty, staff and students and provide them with opportunities to get involved in the fight against human trafficking.
You’re invited to attend this year’s event, Slavery: Then & Now, during which a group of insightful speakers and subject experts will seek to simply and practically answer the questions, “What does slavery look like today?” and “What can I do to help?”
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from a panel of experts in the field, and take part in an interactive activity. Later, keynote speaker and renowned modern slavery expert, Dr. Laura Murphy, will give a talk on the evolution of slavery over time.
The check-in for the event will begin at 12:30pm on Friday, March 4th in Zarrow Hall.
